Sangeen Wali Khan Passes Away

The leader of Awami National Party Asfand Yar Wli’s brother Sangeen Khan Wali (born June 7th, 1959), son of Late Khan Abdul-Wali Khan and grandson of Bacha Khan, died after long ailment here on Thursday.

The departed soul suffered from cancer and had been admitted to hospital few days ago in a critical condition.

Among his descendent, he left a widow, one son, Lawangeen, and two daughters Mehar and Maryam.

Funeral prayers would be said at 6 pm at his native Wali Bagh, Charsadda.

 

Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani on Thursday phoned ANP Central President Asfandyar Wali Khan and Chief Minister NWFP Haider Khan Hoti and condoled with them over demise of Sangeen Wali Khan. The Prime Minister prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to members of bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss with patience and fortitude. He said that "we equally shared grief and sorrow with Wali family over the death of Sangeen Wali Khan". Leader of the House in Senate Mian Raza Rabbani, Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan also telephoned Asfandyar Wali Khan and Ameer Haider Khan Hoti and expressed their profound grief and sorrow over the death of Sangeen Wali, younger son of Khan Abdul Wali Khan (late). Meanwhile Federal Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Haji Ghulam Ahmed Bilour and NWFP Minister for Sports Aqil Shah visited Wali Bagh Charsadda and offered Fatah. NWFP Senior Minister for Planning and Development Rahim Dad Khan has expressed his grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Sangeen Wali Khan, brother of President Awami National Party Asfandyar Wali Khan. In a message of condolence, he has expressed his sympathies with the bereaved family and prayed May God Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the members of the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss. Federal Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Haji Ghulam Ahmed Bilour on Thursday visited Wali Bagh Charsadda and offered Fateha for the departed soul of Sangeen Wali Khan who died of cancer. He remained with the ANP Chief Asfandyar Wal Khan for quite some time and expressed his profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise. The Minister showered praise on Sangeen Wali Khan. The Minister prayed to Allah Almighty to shower His eternal blessings on the departed soul and grant courage and fortitude to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with equanimity and fortitude. NWFP Minister for Health Syed Zahir Ali Shah has expressed his heartiest feelings of sorrow and grief over the sad demise of Sangeen Wali Khan, brother of President Awami National Party Asfandyar Wali Khan. In a message of condolence, he has expressed his sympathies with the bereaved family and prayed Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and give courage to the grieved ones to bear the loss. The NWFP Minister for Prison Mian Nisar Gul Kaka Khel has expressed his heartfelt grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Sangeen Wali Khan who breathed his last the other day. The Minister in his condolence message from United Kingdom prayed Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with patience and fortitude. NWFP Minister for Population Welfare Saleem Khan has expressed his heartiest feelings of sorrow and grief over the sad demise of Sangeen Wali Khan, brother of President Awami National Party Asfandyar Wali Khan. NWFP Minister for Food Shuja Muhammad Khan has expressed his heartiest feelings of sorrow and grief over the sad demise of Sangeen Wali Khan, brother of President Awami National Party Asfandyar Wali Khan. Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Sherry Rehman has expressed her profound sense of grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Sangeen Wali Khan, younger brother of Asfandyar Wali Khan, President Awami National Party.

In her condolence message to ANP chief, Asfandyar Wali Khan she prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage and fortitude to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.

President Pervez Musharraf has expressed grief over the death of Asfandyar Wali’s brother Sangeen Wali Khan. In his condolence message, the President prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace and grant of courage to the members of the bereaved family to bear the loss with fortitude.
