How To Fill Windshield Washer Fluid
Filling Up Your Windshield Washer Fluid
Having a clean windshield is not just for appearance sake. It contributes greatly to your driving safety. If your windshield is cloudy or unclear, how can you drive?. You could be a danger to yourself as well as others. No one should drive with a dirty windshield. Fortunately, every automobile comes with a windshield washer cleaning system. The only thing you have to do is make sure it always contains the appropriate amount of fluid.
Don't settle for just water. Water alone will not always get the job done. Economically speaking windshield washer fluid is cheaper than a gallon of water - not to mention that it has an anti-icing system built right into it. That's right; windshield washer fluid does not freeze. You can actually spray the fluid directly onto your windshield to break down any freezing that may occur during winter driving.
Filling Washer Fluid
This is as easy it gets. First, you open the hood of your car and make sure it is well supported or propped. Next locate the white plastic container. The cap will have a picture of the windshield and wipers. The cap itself is usually blue but yours may have a different color. Either way, the picture of the windshield and wipers should be obvious. Once located, open the container cap and fill it. That's it. How easy is that?
Make Your Own Washer Fluid
You can even make your own washer fluid. After seeing this, you may never buy it again
Here a short list of what you'll need:
- Water
- White vinegar
- A funnel
- An empty milk jug or container
Instructions:
Mix equal parts of white vinegar and water. . Once thoroughly mixed, use the solution to fill the windshield washer container under your hood.
"That's it?!" you might say. Yep. This is why it works: The vinegar contains acetic acid, which breaks up and dissolves all sorts of grime on your windshield including bugs and sap.
The benefits of this homemade solution is that it inexpensive and effective. It is also environmentally friendly which is important.
Windshield Maintenance for Summer and Winter Driving
Safe driving should always be a guiding principle when you're behind the wheel. As the warmer months approach, road trips and visits to family can be a lot of fun. In these economic times, it may be a good alternative to a plane ticket and traveling half way around the world, which is also great. But driving to see family has its own separate rewards and undoubtedly, during summer months and with kids out of school, many families will be doing just that. But, if you are driving to your warm weather destination, don't neglect your windshield. A clean windshield promotes safety. It should always be a priority, especially if you have your kids in the backseat. Besides, caring for your windshield is among the easiest car care tasks you could perform.
During winter holiday driving, the season makes us more aware of our windshield fluid levels. But in warmer months, we seem to forget about checking the levels. It may not be snowing but as cars slosh through muddy roads, you'll find that some of this grime will find its way to your windshield. But, if you've filled up the washer reservoir with fluid then you'll have no problems. Don't wait until a situation occurs to remind you to top off your windshield washer levels. Many people get a windshield treatment done also. Just make inspecting your washer fluid level part of your normal regular car maintenance.

Carboxy - What In The World Does That Mean?
I will be completely sincere with you, the first time I heard the word "carboxy" I had a big frown on my forehead… I really didn't know what the term meant and was contemplating anything from a box shaped car to a thing that vaguely has a resemblance to a term I should have remembered from high school science class!
So for those of you out there who have more or less the same perplexed look on your face right now, herewith a bit more info:
Carboxy is a groundbreaking (relatively new) technique of drastically improving the appearance of cellulite. This is done by improving local tissue metabolism and perfusion. I'm sure that most of you, especially the female readers, are now sitting forward and staring at your pc screen, wanting to know more…
First of all, you can loosen up - it is not a surgical method. A tiny needle (roughly 0.3mm in diameter) is used to infiltrate carbon dioxide (CO2) into subcutaneous tissue. This co2 then quickly spreads out into nearby tissues.
Is it risky? No, it isn't! CO2 is created by our tissue each and every day. It is purely a byproduct of metabolism. CO2 is transported in your bloodstream and the surplus is exhaled through the lungs, so it is not a dangerous chemical. It is therefore a safe treatment with no unwanted side effects.
So why would you want carbon dioxide injected into your tissues? Carbon dioxide kills fat cells! There we go, the secret is revealed! Subsequently CO2 causes dilation of blood vessels which allows for stronger blood flow to the area, which results in an increase in oxygen. This will consequently reduce the building up of fluid between the cells. This leaves you with a decrease in fat cells and more solid subcutaneous tissue.
This sounds quite painful, right? Not at all! It's possible to experience a light prickling sensation when the CO2 is injected, but his will disappear in a couple of seconds. If is also possible to experience a warmer sensation around the area where the Carbon dioxide was injected - this is 100% normal and is due to the increased circulation.
Carboxy will not deliver instantaneous results. A marked improvement can in most cases be viewed after 5 sessions and between 15 and 20 sessions might be necessary to eliminate that unwanted orange peel skin. Sessions are generally quite short and will just take up 10 - 15 minutes of your day.
Keep in mind that your way of life has a big effect on dimply skin. If you persist with your junk and fatty take-away meals and never get off your living room couch, the lumpy skin will return. If you exercise and eat healthy, the carboxy results can last for years!
So if you're looking to reduce that awful cellulite and end up with a more youthful skin, this might be a good procedure for you to consider! I'll have to stop writing now so that I can phone my nearest health clinic and see if they offer this wonderful treatment!
What material can kepp fluid in a small closed bottle warm?
I think cotten may do okay.

More hurricanes in greener seas? (MIT)
More hurricanes may form in greener waters, where sunlight tends to be
absorbed at shallower depths, than in clear seas, according to new research
that draws a link between ocean color and the formation and movement of
tropical cyclones.
It’s no secret that hurricanes depend on a recipe of moist air, warm water and
converging winds. But in a paper due to be published this month in
_Geophysical Research Letters_, researchers from MIT and the National Oceanic
and Atmospheric Administration’s Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory say
ocean color — which is typically influenced by the concentration of tiny
marine organisms — may also be a factor.
Ocean color varies around the globe. In the northern Pacific Ocean, the sea
surface is dark green because it is packed with sediment and microscopic
plants known as phytoplankton that absorb sunlight and keep the ocean’s
surface warm. But the crystal-clear waters around the Bahamas lack biological
material near the surface, and sunlight is absorbed much deeper. The depth of
absorption is important because it affects ocean circulation, and ocean
circulation redistributes heat throughout the world’s oceans, thereby
affecting sea-surface temperatures.
“For this study, the question was, what difference does two meters versus ...
