The Health Benefits of a Home Sauna

It's easier than ever to enjoy the benefits of a sauna in the comfort of your own home. These days, there are many different kinds of portable saunas available. All you have to do is take one home and plug it in.

The home sauna is becoming much more popular these days, and it's not hard to figure out why. There are many health benefits associated with sauna use. For one, it causes your heart rate to accelerate. This in turn helps the blood deliver nutrients and oxygen to the various parts of the body more efficiently.

The perspiration caused by the heat of the sauna helps to open your pores. This sets in motion the detoxification of your body's organs. Toxins are expelled, along with the harmful effects of alcohol and nicotine in your system.

The penetration of heat right into your body can result in fat stores and cellulite being loosened. Many people consider saunas to be beneficial for weight loss. Unfortunately, the loss is generally temporary. Once you regain your proper level of fluids, the weight will come back.

Your skin will also reap some benefits from being exposed to the heat of a sauna. Your accelerated heart rate helps to deliver nutrients essential to your skin's health. You should notice a healthier glow to your skin and fewer blemishes with regular sauna use.

The higher temperature that you experience due to the heat of the sauna also helps to produce more white blood cells. They are important to help you fight off infections and kill bacteria. People with various kinds of health conditions find they can relieve their symptoms by using a sauna on a regular basis.

With infrared saunas, you can get some extra benefits for your health. The infrared light heats your body directly, not the air around you. Therefore, there won't be any harmful effects to your respiratory system. The heat won’t enter your lungs when you inhale as is the case with traditional saunas.

Some of these home sauna units are just big enough for one person, while others can accommodate four or more people at a time. They are easy to install anywhere in the home. In fact, some portable saunas can be set up either inside or outside the house.

With an infrared sauna, you'll use about 90 percent less energy than you would with a regular sauna. At the same time they heat up considerably faster. It's the easiest way to reap the healthy benefits of a sauna in the convenience of your home.

How much propane and oxygen gas is used in glass-blowing, at home flame-working?

I would really like to know how much gas and oxygen is used on say, an hourly rate, in glass blowing. For instance how long will a 20cu. ft oxygen tank last and a 5 gallon propane tank last.

Thanks
I would really like to know how much gas and oxygen is used on say, an hourly rate, in glass blowing. For instance how long will a 20cu. ft oxygen tank last if it's running at 2-4 psi and a 5 gallon propane tank last if it is running at 5-7 psi.

Thanks

That's impossible to answer without knowing the kind of work you are doing. If you are doing small hand-torch work, probably it will last a month or more. If you are working 12-inch tubing on a Heathway lathe with ring burners you might not last a day.
